Bruns Denim & Urban Wear
Bruns Menswear is a large (3800 sqm) department store in Oldenburg, Northwest Germany, offering fine clothes and accessories for any occasion.
The urban jeans look fits with a relaxed and modern feel, but not too sterile. A world was created that plays with black and white contrast, mixed with vintage furniture elements and glazed spruce wood. The store construction was deliberately planned to be rustic and slightly unfinished. The plain spruce wood frames highlight the graphical elements. The themes on the walls extend onto the floors seamlessly.
The character is inspired by the cartoon figure Dick Tracy, 1940s American comics. By following the narration and graphics around the walls one experiences a wild chase through the department.
